Kale is not for everyone. It is often an acquired taste. A nice way to start with kale is to try this kale crisps.
1 pack/head of kale
1-2 Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
Flavour: celtic salt, curry or cumin
Pre-heat oven 220C/ fan 200C / gas mark 7. Remove the tray from the oven and lay parchment paper
Preparing kale: wash the kale, remove the hard stalk and bits, cut the green into strips. Dry thoroughly with paper towels (or it will have a bitter taste)
Place the olive oil in a large bowl, add the kale and toss until the kale is evenly coated with oil
Lay the kale on the tray and bake in the oven for 5 minutes or until it starts to turn a little brown. Keep an eye on it as it can burn quickly. Turn the kale over, sprinkle with salt, curry or cumin to taste and bake for another 5 minutes
